Magnum Security specializes in developing individualized security plans for client properties. They began working with LiveView Technologies (LVT) after acquiring numerous properties requiring high levels of protection. Historically, these spaces had faced expensive and dangerous incidents of trespassing, vandalism, and theft. The goal for these new industrial spaces was to ensure their security while unoccupied. After seeing an LVT security unit outside a local hardware store, Jim Campbell, a security consultant for Magnum, thought it might be the perfect solution.

CREATING A SCARECROW EFFECT
Before LVT Units were in place, incidents of theft including copper and electrical boxes were frequent. These properties also saw recurrent trespassing where people engaged in dangerous behavior in high-risk areas. After the installation of the units all theft, vandalism, and trespassing stopped.
Campbell said that in this case, “Success is measured by what doesn’t happen.” Given the properties' troubled history, there were concerns that “it was going to be a free-for-all the minute we ended up taking over.” With LVT security units in place, those fears were unfounded. “The strategy of using the LVT cameras really helped in prevention.”
INNOVATIVE SECURITY FOR CRIME PREVENTION
Since the initial deployment by LVT, Magnum has expanded to nearly 20 units across the company. The alert system notifies them of activities requiring immediate action. Campbell attributes the effectiveness to the excellent design and quality of the system. He pointed out the efficient solar cameras, the ability to call into the unit and talk through its speaker in real-time, flashing strobes, and three cameras that cover almost 360° of area with thermal camera imaging. He feels, “There’s not another company, or system, that can equal it.” These properties have remained secure due to the presence of the LVT Units.
LOOKING AHEAD
Campbell only sees the number of units increasing because “There is nothing else on the market like this.” Magnum Security trusts LVT systems to deter crime with its preventative features. They are confident that the units and alert notifications will provide crucial information to help in any potential future crimes. They trust LVT Units at their high-risk properties as a quick solution for spaces they receive on short notice. They know they are using the highest quality system on the market and receiving the highest-level results.
