Summary

  • AI Talk Downs: LVT Units can now deliver real-time, personalized audio warnings to trespassers using AI.
  • Forensic Search: Quickly locate key footage with keyword-based searches like “white car” or “blue shirt.”
  • Enhanced Deterrents: Dynamic spotlights and customizable strobe lights improve visibility and discourage criminal activity.

New Product Capabilities

We made some exciting announcements about our improvements to the LVT Unit at ISC West. The improvements will help discover, detect, and deter better than ever and help you stay one step ahead of criminals. Our goal for physical security is automated multi-step processes where human involvement in detecting and deterring crime is minimized—unlocking faster, smarter, and more consistent protection.

AI Talk Down

The first and biggest announcement is the addition of AI talk down. LVT Units can be equipped with a loudspeaker that was traditionally used to send prerecorded messages. These were generic warnings to loiters and trespassers that stated the area is under surveillance and that they need to leave. But bad actors may ignore the prerecorded messages because they know no one is actually watching.

However, with the addition of AI talk down, the recordings aren’t generic. Instead of  “You are trespassing,” or “This area is under video surveillance,” the LVT Units can now recognize specific features of bad actors and call them out—without a human speaker involved.

For example, if a bad actor in a black shirt and red ball cap triggers the loitering timer, the unit will automatically call down to them, “You in the black shirt and red hat—you are trespassing! Leave immediately!” The voice is realistic, not robotic, and gives the impression that a real person is watching.

The AI talk down helps defend your property without human interference. Of course, you will still get an alert if someone is trespassing on your property, but the unit will do all it can to deter back actors before an actual human needs to get involved. This can help you save time and better manage your resources.

Forensic Search

Forensic search is another feature powered by AI, but this time it helps you find footage of specific events, people, or objects. Instead of manually scrubbing video to find the evidence you need, you can now use a keyword to locate relevant alert clips. This can save you days of searching through footage. For example, you can search “white car” or “blue shirt” and the AI-powered search will pull up relevant footage with white cars or blue shirts.

This can help you streamline investigations and incident responses. It will also increase efficiency for evidence gathering and optimize your security team’s time.

Dynamic Spotlight

Traditionally, LVT Units have a floodlight on top that turns on when the unit is triggered. We took that a step further with a dynamic spotlight that can illuminate the area where the event occurred. When the unit detects a bad actor, the spotlight will snap to the detection zone, illuminating the area to help you see what’s going on and to help deter the bad actor.

Other Notable Capabilities

SafeNow

Earlier this year, we announced our SafeNow capability, which helps employees feel safer when coming and going from their workplace. With the SafeNow application, employees can activate the LVT Unit from their phone. They can also escalate and call 911 from their phone during an emergency. Designed to be simple, administrators can generate a PIN that ensures only employees with a code can access.
